Capital: Ouagadougou
Official Language is French
Other languages include the native African languages belonging to Sudanic family spoken by 90% of the population

Ethnic Compositions: Mossi 48%, Grosi, Senufo, Lobi, Bobo, Mande, Fulani and Gurma
Religions : Muslim 50%, indigenous beliefs 35% and Christian (mainly Roman Catholic) 15%

Geography: Burkina Faso has a landlocked savanna which is cut by the three principal rivers of the Black, Red, and White Voltas

Border countries: Burkina Faso borders with Mali, Niger, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Benin and Togo
Natural resources: Major natural resources in Burkina Faso includes Manganese, gold, bauxite, lead, nickel, silver and zinc.

Agriculture products: Cotton, peanuts, shea nuts, sesame, sorghum, millet, corn, rice and livestock

With a Population of about 12.8 million and a growth rate of 2.9%, Life expectancy is about 47.9 years.
