Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) Impeaches Its President Sani Lulu And Others

At its executive council meeting held over the weekend, the executive committee members of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) impeached / sacked its President Sani Lulu, vice president Chief Amanze Uchegulam, Head of Technical Committee Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi and sacked about five others for incompetence and shoddy handling of football matters of the football house.
In Lulu's place the NFF appointed Aminu Maigari as the acting president of the defunct football body.

The NFF also resolved to appeal to President Goodluck Jonathan to rescind his decision of withdrawing Nigeria from International football from two years and give the NFF another chance to mend things in the interest of Nigerian football.

In a related development the 11 man committee appointed by the presidency to oversee the affairs of Nigerian football will be inaugurated testerday Monday 5th July, 2010 in Abuja.
