Ondo governor dissolves cabinet

Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko has dissolved his cabinet, made up of 22 Commissioners and four Special Advisers, thanking the team for having helped him to pilot the affairs of the state in the last two years.
Mr Mimiko, who summoned the aides to an emergency council meeting Thursday morning, thanked them for having contributed their quota towards the development of the tate.

"It is time for us to sit back, take stock and give an account of where we are and how to make progress," Mr Mimiko said. "We need to take this decision, which is a way of general audit and re-construction. This is an exercise that any organisation must do from time to time in order to re-energise and move forward.

I want to assure you all that this exercise is not to scare anybody and very soon, we shall reconstitute the State Executive Council. I want to thank you all for what you have done for our State.

I want to appreciate you for your support all these while and together, we have been able to deliver on our promises for the people of Ondo State. We have tried our possible best and I thank you most sincerely."

The governor's spokesman, Kola Olabisi said Mr Mimiko has directed the former aides to immediately hand over to the Permanent Secretaries in their respective Ministries.
