Ethiopian Government commends U.S. Anti-terrorists operations. The Government on Monday commended all parties involved in the operation that led to the killing of Osama Bin Laden, the leader of the Al-qaeda terrorists group.
This was contained in a statement issued in Addis Ababa from the Government Communication Affairs Office.
The statement commended the U.S. anti-terrorists operatives for hunting and killing Bin Laden.
“The Ethiopian government salutes all parties involved in this operation,’’ it said.
The statement said that as a victim of repeated terrorist attacks, Ethiopia felt and shared the agony and suffering of nations that lost their citizens to senseless terrorist attacks.
“Although the death of Bin-Laden does not mean an end to the anti-terrorists struggle, it is nonetheless a big victory for the global anti-terrorists forces.
“On this happy occasion, we congratulate the entire people of America and the U.S. government,’’ it stated.
