The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has stated its determination to conduct a credible, free and fair elections. This was posted on INEC Twitter page.
”INEC remains committed to running free and fair elections. All efforts are being made to deliver that.”
Meanwhile, INEC Chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega, has begun a meeting with Resident Electoral Commissioners, Directors of ICT and Directors of Operations to discuss preparations for the conduct of the National Assembly election on Saturday.
The meeting will also discuss the logistics challenges and lapses that forced INEC to move the election from April 2 to April 4 and eventually April 9.
